Nunda Veterinary StaffRebecca Forrester, Manager and Licensed Veterinary Technician

Rebeca has been veterinary technician at Nunda Veterinary Clinic since March 2016. Her daily responsibilities include assisting with appointments, treating patients, assiting in surgical procedures, taking X-rays, performing dental cleanings and customer service. Hard-working and able to multi-task, Rebecca’s favorite part of the job is helping animals feel better. Prior to joining our hospital, she earned an Associate degree in Veterinary Technology and an Associate degree in Animal Science.

“I enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with friendly colleagues whose ultimate goal is to help animals,” Rebecca says.

Rebecca shares her home with five dogs, four cats and several pigs. In her free time, she enjoys walking her dogs, exercising and spending quality time at home with her children.

Nunda Veterinary StaffLauren Smith, Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician

Lauren has been a part of the Nunda Veterinary Clinic team since October 2015. As a veterinary technician, she is responsible for surgery, bloodwork, lab work, performing X-rays and client communication. Organized and up-beat, Lauren’s favorite part of the job is interacting with our great clients and their pets. Prior to joining our hospital, she earned her Associate degree from Alfred State College. Lauren is a licensed veterinary technician in the state of New York.

“I enjoy working with the staff at Nunda Veterinary Clinic because they are compassionate about our patients and their owners,” Lauren says. “They are all a pleasure to work with.”

At home, Lauren has a 7-year-old Cavapoo dog named Kylie. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys cooking, gardening, reading, crafts, winemaking and spending time with family.

Nunda Veterinary StaffJosey Brewer, Veterinary Technician

Josey Brewer is a veterinary technician at Nunda Veterinary Clinic who joined the team in October 2018. Josey is responsible for caring for all of the animals that come into the clinic which includes placing IV catheters, taking x-rays, taking blood draws, and surgical monitoring of patients. In addition to being a licensed vet technician, she’s also a certified sports massage therapist for equine and canine. Josey loves the atmosphere at Nunda Veterinary Hospital. “The work environment is very family-oriented and we are all very close. We all show compassion for our patients and work to the best of our ability, providing the best care possible.”

At home, Josey has two dogs named Sadie and Kai. She also has two horses named Lee and Angie. In her free time, she likes baking, barrel racing, hiking, swimming, and spending time with family and friends. Joey is also a part of the Attica Rodeo and Show association

Nunda Veterinary StaffOlivia Sherman, Licensed Veterinary Technician

Olivia Sherman is a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician here at Nunda Veterinary Clinic. She is Fear Free Certified and has an Associates degree in Veterinary Technology from SUNY Alfred State. She helps restrain pets for procedures, draws blood, runs lab work, and helps during surgery. Some of Olivia's favorite job responsibilities include drawing blood and helping during surgeries. Oliva has such unique experience caring for animals throughout her life and we are so grateful for her compassion when caring for pets and their owners.

Nunda Veterinary StaffLiz Earner, Veterinary Assistant

Liz first joined the staff at Nunda Veterinary Clinic in 2011. She left in 2015, and returned in 2017. Liz is responsible for assisting Dr. Emo and our clients, helping care for patients and keeping the facility clean and organized. She considers herself energetic and enjoys using her positivity to help our patients. Liz has a degree in veterinary technology from Alfred State College.

“I’ve known most of the staff at Nunda Veterinary Clinic for years,” Liz says. “It’s a fun, family-like work environment.”

At home, Liz has four dogs named Libbie, Francis, Quoia, and Nava; two cats named Mim and Rue; and two axolotls. She enjoys spending time with her family, trout fishing, painting, four-wheeling, hiking, gardening and going to orchid shows.

Nunda Veterinary StaffMorgan Howe, Lead Receptionist and Assistant

Morgan Howe is the lead receptionist and veterinary assistant at Nunda Veterinary Clinic. She’s been on the team since July 2018. Her job responsibilities include answering phones, scheduling appointments, and assisting the vet and vet technicians with animals. Morgan’s favorite thing about her job is being able to help both people and animals.

Morgan has a bachelor’s degree from Medaille College. At home, Morgan has two dogs and one cat. Dixie an 11-year-old border collie mix, Karcass a nine-year-old coonhound mix, and Mabel a three-year-old calico tiger. During Morgan’s free time she coaches basketball for Alfred St. College. She also enjoys spending time with her family, going to the lake during the summer, and doing crafts with her kids.

Nunda Veterinary StaffCindy Jerome, Receptionist and Veterinary Assistant

Cindy Jerome is a long-time veteran of animal care. At Nunda Veterinary Clinic, her duties include scheduling appointments, answering client questions, assisting clients on the phone, and assisting veterinarians as needed. She most enjoys assisting with surgical patients or treatments of sick or post-surgical patients, but the best part of work, she says, is "being part of a team of compassionate, caring co-workers and veterinarians whose number one priority is the care and comfort of the animal. Dr. Emo is a great veterinarian to work for."

Cindy is the pet parent of a cat and a dog. She also enjoys spending time with her four beautiful granddaughters, working in her flower gardens, fishing with her husband, or sitting on her deck, reading a good book.

Nunda Veterinary StaffLacey Beardsley, Receptionist and Assistant

Lacey joined the team at Nunda Veterinary Clinic in May 2017. As receptionist and assistant, she is responsible for answering the phone, booking appointments, restraining animals and helping however she can. Lacey is passionate about animals and enjoys assisting in our patient’s care. Her commitment to animal care extends to Alfred State College, where she is currently pursuing a degree in veterinary technology.

“I love the people I work with,” Lacey says. “They’re always so willing to help and lend tips which betters my education.”

At home, Lacey has a 5-year-old yellow lab named Kobe, a 9-year-old husky named Kato and a 9-week-old Australian shepherd named Mowgli. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys hiking, playing with her dogs, spending quality time with her family, and anything and everything outdoors.

Nunda Veterinary StaffVickie Horan, Receptionist

Full-time Receptionist Vickie Horan helps our office run smoothly by answering phones, scheduling appointments, and assisting the vets and vet technicians during appointments. She also greets every client and animal with a smile! Vickie loves working at Nunda Veterinary Clinic because of our family and pet oriented atmosphere. Vicki has a Bachelor's degree in Business and Communications from SUNY Brockport.
