About Nunda Veterinary ClinicBringing Quality Veterinary Care to Nunda, NY Since 1986

As a pet owner, choosing a veterinarian is one of the most important decisions you will make. The staff at Nunda Veterinary Clinic understands how difficult that decision can be. That's why our patients and clients are central to all we do. We believe that your pet deserves the best care possible at a fair and affordable price. Whether your pet is a dog or a cat, we are dedicated to helping all of them live long and happy lives.

Our Beginnings

Nunda Veterinary Clinic was founded in 1986 as a small, one doctor practice with a focus on farm animals. Since then, Nunda Veterinary Clinic has expanded considerably and now offers care for dogs and cats in our brand new, state of the art facility. Dr. Toby Emo, who started at Nunda Veterinary Clinic as a receptionist in 1997, purchased the practice in 2010. We continue to provide the Nunda, NY area with excellent, affordable veterinary care.

Dr. Toby Emo, owner of Nunda Veterinary Clinic, passed away on June 7, 2015.

Dr. Emo started his career at Nunda Veterinary Clinic as a veterinary assistant in 1997 after graduating from Cornell University with a degree in Animal Science. After attending Atlantic Veterinary College at the University of Prince Edward Island and earning his veterinary doctorate, Dr. Emo returned to Nunda Veterinary Clinic as an associate veterinarian. He purchased the practice in 2010 with the dream of designing a new, state of the art veterinary facility. Plans were well underway at the time of his passing.

With the help of his wife Ailsa – also a veterinarian - we were able to see that dream to completion in 2016 with the opening of our new building.

Dr. Emo maintained strong ties to western New York throughout his life and was passionate about serving the area. He was committed to providing the best possible veterinary care for Nunda area pets, and our new facility builds on this legacy.

Regular Pet Wellness Exams

Your pet's continuous good health starts with regular "nose-to-tail" wellness examinations, as well as vaccinations and other preventative treatments. This allows our veterinarians to identify issues before they can become more difficult — and more costly — to treat. Our wellness exams are the key to your pet's long term health.

Nunda, NY Veterinary Medicine

Accidents and illnesses can happen to even the healthiest of pets. If your pet does become sick or injured, we are here to provide the compassionate, skilled veterinary care that your pet needs and you expect. Nunda Veterinary Clinic's modern diagnostic tools, surgical capabilities and in-house laboratory mean that we can work quickly to get you an accurate diagnosis and treatment recommendation. We'll work quickly to minimize your pet's discomfort — and your worry.

Committed to You and Your Pet

When you bring your pet in to see us, we want you to feel confident your pet is receiving the best care possible. Ask us anything you want to know. The veterinarians and staff at Nunda Veterinary Clinic know that great veterinary care begins with taking the time to get to know your pet and talking with you. It is important for us to take the time to get to know you and your pet: it is a relationship that we hope will last for many years.
